Memories from Joey
Good DesignWhen I first finished college, I was unsure of myself when it came to deciding on my career path. Purely by chance, I was lucky enough to be asked to play a part in a promotional video for MediaPortfolio (via Erin). From the first day I met Rick, I knew I was in the presence of one of the most professional, generous, and genuine human beings I had ever met.
Although I only worked for Rick in a limited capacity, he remained a constant source of mentorship, moral support, and inspiration. Over the years, my respect and gratefulness for Rick only grew more and more as he continued to support Erin and I, both personally and professionally. Between renting out his Alhambra condo to us, being a professional reference for my future employers, and always including us in work projects that would help us grow, Rick did more for Erin and I than anyone else in our personal lives. Without his help, his kindness, we would not be where or who are today. I wish I had told him more often, but I am and will remain grateful for everything he did for us. As Rick once told me long ago, I will continue to “make strides” in life, and I hope to achieve something with my life, with our lives, that would honor his memory. I miss you, Rick. Thank you for taking care of us in more ways than you know.
